Here I am breaking ground but mostly clearing invasive species such as Himalayan Blackberries.

I was motivated to start Sauvie Island Tea Co. after blending my own tea for years and sharing my creations with friends to much fanfare. My epiphany came when I realized the Tea Co. could fund the build out of a botanical garden. I had previously purchased a very special, two-acre plot on Sauvie Island in one of the largest bird migration paths. At any time, you will find river otters playing, sandhill cranes overhead, or beavers diligently at work. It’s lovely just to sit and listen to the river lapping the shore.

Each tea bag is individually hand blended to ensure consistency. My sommelier training allows me to identify individual scents and flavors to create blends of unparalleled flavor profile. You will discover a mix of wild foraged plants and organic herbs chosen to delight your senses.
